Clarity Community Group
This group originally had been formed to lend support and to have open discussion on the topic of dissociation. We have since opened up to all aspects of PTSD, BPD, DID, BIP, Depression, etc. Basically our group is a safe supportive (non judgemental) place for open discussion on any somewhat related topic. We do not discriminate. We consider ourselves to be...
I think things like fish oil, proper sleep, eating healthy, exercise can help. but by far not a cure.
hope things start to turn around for you soon, in the mean time find a bunch of good chick flicks (soup for the soul I like to call them) and just relax, don't push yourself to hard right now
lots of love, Chantelle.

i dont know if people can talk themselves out of depression either
i am a pretty determined woman and i still sucomb
sometimes mine washes over me like a great sea
one minute i am laughing the next minute i have collapsed and i am sobbing hysterically
people always say well you've been thinking too much or you are being negative or this or that like i did something but truth be known it comes out of nowhere and i watch my mind pretty closely so i'd know

sorry i'll sod off
just hang in there
and never give up when the sea is at full tide because three days later when its low tide again you'll get the chance to catch a few warm rays and its worth the wait
thats how i live my life and its ok
i love you friend xxx
I remember when i first start therapy my therapist was trying to show me ways to catch depression in the act before it manifests. She had this whole chart thing showing the cycle of depression step by step almost as if it was a chain or systematic.
She told me that if we could learn to recognize the signs we could basically "short stop" the rest of the chained actions so that our depression did not spiral down to what we know as hell. You basically cycle it back up some how so that it never ends in deep depression, just mild at best.
Right around the same time is when I got my DX's so things sort of swayed off from there and she started putting all her attention to the bipolar so I never really did get around to learning how to do this.
When I see her next week I am gonna ask her about this again, because it really has me thinking...can we honestly possibly prevent how deep our depression goes? I know we can't stop it all together, but lightening any load is always a plus.
I will let you know what she has to say about it =)
In a way I feel I did talk myself out of depression and the worst of my PTSD. I told myself that I would no longer allow certain people and/ or things control my life. I was determined to be on top. Clair, remember when I kept shoving that fucking demon into the trunk of my car??? Lol! That was my way oftaking control and locking the bastard up. Haha! I also found laughing at the crap affecting me to help loosen it's control. We each must fund our own methods.
GF if you need someone to stand beside you and ward off the depression depres' say the word. I believe you have a volunteer army here waiting for your command.
Love you!
Hugs xxxx
