Hey! I'm new here as well. I suffer from Fibromyalgia, occasional IBS due to the Fibro, and recently Bells palsy . The left side of my face has been paralyzed since july. I too joined for friends and support. the only person who REALLY understands my pain is my mom (probably cause my aunt has it, plus she works with many doctors including my rheumatologist). So instead of always griping to her (even though she doesn't mind) i thought I'd try one of these places out ^^

Hi to you all....I have been diagnosed with PTSD, Depression & chronic back pain. Doctors tell me I am in need of surgery, but I am so scared. I would like to join this group to see what people think about surgery or how you all deal with your chronic pain & what helps. I am always suffering with pain, so days are better than others.

I too am also new to this group. I was injured in 2005. I was diagnosed with DDD, fibromyalgia, sclerosis among other things. I also am bipolar, have personality disorder & PTSD. No meds have worked for all my back problems. In 2007 I had a spinal cord stimulator implanted in my lower back. It worked for about 3 years, then the battery wouldn't charge. I am finally having it removed with in the next 9 months. I would rather live with the pain then to have something implanted in me that doesn't work & burns most of the time. I joined this group for support and to find out how others live their life in pain. I am 59 years old and want to try and live a better life
