Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML) Support Group
Chronic myelogenous leukemia affecst the balance of blood cells in the body, disrupting the normal balance. The cancer cells eventually begin to outnumber and push out the good cells, and could lead to anemia and easier bleeding/bruising. If you or a loved one is diagnosed with CML, this is the community to discuss your experience.
If you want to gain weight- talk with your Doctor about your diet. I am glad you are not experiencing any side effects and the best way to keep it that way... Is to consult your doctor before making any major changes.
I have been a diabetic for almost 20yrs (typeII) and have an A1C better than many non diabetics. I do this by working with my doctors!
This CML threw me for a loop because I am young too have it! But as with my diabetes- I plan to contain it too. This one is such a different beast though! Good luck and hope I have helped a bit!
And just what my doctor advises me....EAT!
Yeah, I was told to keep eating to help, just eat healthy, though.
