Hi friends,
Had a phone call from davids sister tonight that his mum is back in hospital with pneumonia. She has had this before but does not seem to be recovering well at all. her right lung is still full of fluid & does not seem to be healing. She has been in hospital since Tuesday - we were away on holidays. We cant get to see her till at least next weekend as the hospital she is in is on the other side of town so would take us over 1 hour each way & as David doesnt get home till after 7pm it wont work.
Also (being a bit self care here) I cant afford to go near someone with pneumonia when I am fighting a virus & have just had a flare up. Mum will be 90 at the end of the month & we were going to have a family lunch on 26th so that is unsure due to her health. Will know more in a couple of days after more blood tests & other tests.
Mum says she wants to see her 90th bd but doesnt think she will make it to Christmas as she is tired of fighting. This is hard to take but as joy (sister) said, we all want her around as long as possible but it is up to her to fight it.
Please pray for Mum to get better & be able to go home & have her bd this month. Also for david & me to both get over our virus that we are fighting so that we can see her too.
Thanks in advance
Sue

OK Sue. She will be in my prayers. It's funny, but even though we know that heaven awaits, and life there will be so much better, we still fight to hang on here. Eventually though, like David's mum, our bodies get too weak to fight any more, and we let the Lord take us to our heavenly home to rest and enjoy.

Spoke to Mum on the phone today imbetween her coughing, she sounds awful & weak. She said she has had double pneumonia & today was told that her right lung has collapsed so thats not good. No idea of when she will be going home yet.
