Become Spirit Conscious and Obedient
(Excerpts and paraphrasing from K. E. Hagins Book, "Health Food Devotions")
Romans 8:5
"For they that are after the flesh do in mind the things of the flesh; but they that rate after the Spirit the things of the Spirit"
It helps our faith immeasurably when we see ourselves as a Spirit being. We have a soul. It lives in our body. (Thessalonians 5:22). Our Spirit is our heart. And it is with our heart we believe. When we learn this we can begin to stop paying attention to our bodies and how we feel. Instead of being body conscious (what the enemy wants) we can become spirit conscious. If you are body conscious and asked how you are, you will respond by saying "I've got a sore throat or some other ailment. It is human to be more aware of the physical body than the spirit. But if we can begin to be conscious of our spirit. our body can get in line with our spirit.
So when asked how you feel, don't say how you feel. Say you are well and then tell them what the Bible says! The more we confess what the Bible says, the better we will feel. If you believe in health and healing, talk health and healing. Be obedient and act on the Word of God, which says in Isaiah 53:5 "He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our inequities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and WITH HIS STRIPES WE ARE HEALED.
When we are religious minded we want to do something for God to move on our behalf. But crying, struggling, or getting everyone we know to pray won't bring results. Acting on Gods Word will. Mark 11:23 says, " we can have whatsoever we say"! Gods will is healing. Every day confess "according to the Word of God I am healed". The word is true and never returns void.

I prayed and ask God to direct me in what to share today. I asked that it would be something to help build others up, and myself. I still struggle with not being physically minded. But I am learning to not look at my failures. I was a lifeguard and a P.E. teacher for almost 20 years. Being physical minded came naturally. I still find myself trying to do things in my own strength. On those days, I fall apart and cry like a baby. So, I am believing Gods Word, Standing on the Word, and his reminds me to confess the Word of God.
