Do you Believe you can be healed? If some one had asked me this question a year and a half ago I am not sure I would have said yes. Don't get me wrong, I believed in miracles and in Jesus, but I felt so unworthy. In fact my thinking was so wrong I thought I was being punished with MS. The enemy really had a field day with my thoughts and emotions. Then I had a stranger approach me while I was singing at church. She had a word from God and started sharing healing verses with me. Around the same time I was watching KCAL 9 and saw Pastor Mike Web's service in which he advertised Healing School. I thought to myself what do I have to loose. I actually thought I would go and he would lay hands on me and I would be healed. He didn't do this, but instructed me to get in the Word and learn what the Bible says about healing. He also had podcast and archived teachings on the subject. This teaching transformed my heart. Spending time listening and reading the Word revealed the truth to me. Today I don;'t think I can be healed I KNOW I AM HEALED. The symptom's are smoke and mirrors to make me believe otherwise. I know the Word is try and that my Lord died for my salvation and my healing.
One of the first accounts in the Bible are in Mathew chapter 8:1-4 "When Jesus came down from the mountainside, large crowds followed him. 2 A man with leprosy[a] came and knelt before himand said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”3 Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,”he said. “Be clean!” Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy.4 Then Jesus said to him, “See that you don’t tell anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift Moses commanded,as a testimony to them.”
This is an account by holy spirit an contains a couple of important principles concerning healing. GOD CAN AND HE IS WILLING TO HEAL. The leper believed he could, he believed jesus had the power but wasn't sure if it was Gods Will? Jesus immediately said he would. As soon as the leper knew healing was God's will, the healing power was manifested in his body. And he trusted it was done despite seeing otherwise. He presented himself to the Pharisees and was clean. Now this was not just because of Jesus. Jesus came to earth as a man. He laid aside his omnipotence when he came to earth and all of his power was because of God and Holy Spirit. Jesus did not heal cause he was the son of God. He said the Acts I do not do these things of myself but because of the Father in me. God doesn't change. If healing was available then it ought to be available now.
Back to my feeling unworthy to receive healing. There are two ways devil attacks us. First he will tell you the problem is to big for God and second he will tell you God can but you are not worthy. Well nothing is to big for God and God is no respecter of persons. Healing is for all of us if we will accept and receive. Healing is not for a few cause it is identified in Isaiah 53 as part of the finished work of Jesus on the cross. .Why do some die sick? it is same as salvation. Jesus died for both, but some choose not to be saved. It is the same with healing. We have to receive and accept. He died for the whole world. accept and receive. Healing is for all. Isaiah 53:5 "Jesus paid for our sins and by hHis stripes we are healed" It is impossible to say he can't cause it is already done.
Then why is His will concerning healing such an issue? If you establish yourself in the Love of God you will see it is His will. If you don't know how much he loves you you will never know what his will is for you..
Romans 8:28-35
" And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified. What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? Nothing can separate us not even the worst sin can separate us from Gods love."
Psalm 84 says God will with hold no good thing from those who walk uprightly. And healing is good. Acts 10:38 "how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him" James 1:17 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
I believe with all my heart in the truth of the Bible. I believe God can use medical doctors, diet, and exercise to heal or he can snap his fingers and it will be done. I wouldn't trade what this journey of faith has taught me for an instant healing. I encourage you to read the Word and believe. God works supernaturally. I will stand on the Word, rebuke the MS, and wait on Him.
