Luke 12:22-30
And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.
Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls. And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit? If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?
Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith? And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
The devil will try to bring wrong thoughts. Look instead to Gods Word and how he cares for the lilies. Look at his creation. We are better than the lilies. The devil wants us busy so that we take our eyes off God. Don't be of doubtful mind. God wants our needs met.
Romans 417-19 it says As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations, before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb:
We can overcome the world by considering the right things. God said it it was done. God looks at things in that way. His Word does not change and he can't lie. It is impossible for Gods Word to fail. The devil wants to distract us from that truth. God calls the natural things to quicken and calls things to be not as they are.
Hope bases itself in God's Word not circumstances. The foundation of hope is the Word.. Being not weak in faith is a choice. We have to choose what we want to focus on. Not our circumstances and bodies, but Gods Word. When the promises of God contradict our physical circumstances, we have the choice to look to the physical circumstances and say, that's it I will believe it when I see things change, or we can do what Abraham did ,and what the bible encourages us to do and say, regardless of the circumstances I am going to believe God's Word. The problem with this is time. The problem with faith is time. The enemy uses time to tell us that God has forgotten us. Faith isIt is easy at first. The enemy will send us more circumstances to distract us from the truth. Isaiah 53:5 "He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our inequities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and WITH HIS STRIPES WE ARE HEALED.
