Sometimes things happen, people disappear and we worry about them.
Having an email address can help you to stay in touch no matter what happens at DS.
If you look at the Christian Fellowship group you will see that one of the members was banned. I do not know the circumstances, but in a case like that, having a back-up email address allows you to stay in touch with them.
Having an email address also allows you to pass on emails that you receive that you think others might enjoy. I have a friend who is always sending me pretty funny stuff and it is too long to write it down and then
repost it here. With email, you can just forward the good stuff to others.
As someone said, the richest man is the one with the most friends!!
