7 key thing Barry learned on his healing journey

7 Things Barry learned on his healing journey:
1. 1. Start at the finish line—By His Stripes you were healed, you ARE healed. Start there. You are not the sick trying to get well. You are the well resisting sickness. You need to SEE yourself healed. You need to need to SEE HEALTH as the completed work, and someone is trying to steal it. But you ARE healed. Start at the finish line. Don’t say, “How can I get healed?” You ARE healed. You are your spirit man. The healing has already taken place. By His Stripes you WERE healed. Healing is your inheritance.
In Matthew 14:14 it says Jesus saw the great multitude, and was moved with compassion. It didn’t say they were of great faith.
2. 2. Don’t receive guilt and condemnation from others. Find people that will stand with you through it. Find people that will be encouraging and believe with you at your level of faith. Find people that won’t condemn you, and don’t feel guilty if you are not measuring up someone else’s level of faith, such as Smith Wigglesworth, John G. Lake. Stop measuring ourselves with ourselves. Find people that will be supportive.
3. 3. Follow YOUR faith and peace. You can’t follow someone else’s faith, or someone else’s testimony. You can only follow YOUR faith and peace. You can’t walk in someone else’s faith. Healing has already been accomplished on the cross, by His stripes we have been healed. And by faith and peace we can receive it. It may be instantaneous or it may be a process. Trust God’s leading. Do what you hear from God. You don’t have to generate something in order to receive what has already been done. What we need to do is trust Him.
4. 4. Find others who will truly stand with you. People of prayer and faith who love you, and will stand with you. Get rid of those who criticize and judge, and find some real friends. (He says jokingly—if you have to get rid of your family…). Whatever you have got to do. You don’t need negativity around you. Find people who will stand with you and pray fervently for you. You don’t need to argue and debate. Just delete those people out of your life. Stay in peace, and don’t get into strife. Find others who will truly stand with you. People that will stand like the Centurion stood in faith for his servant, or the Syro-Phoenician stood in faith on behalf of her daughter. People that will become and effectual fervent intercessors. In James chapter 5 it says, “The prayer OF FAITH will save the sick.”
5. 5. Prepare for the future—See yourself well in the future, and make plans. Buy things you can’t use until you are healed. Set goals for the future. Don’t live in the present. Don’t wallow in the mire of what you are going through. Look into the future—By His stripes you WERE healed. Get excited about the future. Matthew 12:35 “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart BRINGS FORTH good things…” Start bringing forth your future. You can shape or change your future, even from a hospital bed. So set goals and begin to look ahead.
6. 6. Be thankful for every little thing. Be thankful for food to eat, a roof over your head. When we find simple small things to be thankful for, it keeps us in a positive attitude of praise and thanksgiving to God. It keeps our heart fresh. You may get discouraged, but get undiscouraged, and start giving thanks.
7. 7. Having done all stand—Don’t give up! (Ephesians 6:13) “Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.”
