I saw an interesting study on the meaning of the Lamb in sacrifices of the Old Testiment. We have all read about the sacrifices made in the Old Testiment. I can't remember this man's name; but he actually goes to historic sites in Isreal to make his studies. He gives lessons on everything.
In this particular study he told us of how the lamb was raised before the sacrifice to make it worthy. First, they had to take the most perfect lamb out of the births of new lambs in the spring. Then they took the lamb into their homes. They treated the lamb as their child. They fed the lamb at the table. The lamb slept with them. They kept the lamb with them at all times as tho a very treassured child. It was doted on, pampered, prayed over. They gave all the love to the lamb that they would a child. That is what made the lamb so special.
And when the when the time came; they gave the lamb to God. That is what made it a suitable sacrifice. It was the foundation for the coming of Jesus. God's beloved only Son. The sacrifice worthy of paying for our sins.
I just thought this was very interesting.

Think of it like this: people make up tales, such as "if God doesn't judge San Francisco soon, he will have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah on the Day of Judgment". But this one is probably true: "if wicked hands were not found, to murder the Lord or Glory, then God would've had to do it."
