I love to listen to what kids have to say...they are more in tune with the world than expected and have so much to give us "oldies"....they are usually so honest and we need to pay attention to them and what they have to say.

And they are usually correct and brutaly honest! I was definatly taken aback by this! I asked her if God told her to do this,she said naw I just thought it! She is my fishin buddie!

Even the tinest mouth can produce profound truth Ihave learnt.
We sooften stifle them andlike my father who said Shut up you dontknow whatyou are talking about. How it broke my spirit and wounded, Let them chatter and talk to them aswell passing onthe truths of God. They will not forget.

It's stories like this that make me wish I could have been a grandmother. How sweet!

fishboy316...I was wondering, since we are on the topic of grandkids..could you pray for my one little baby grandson?? I have a son who is 30 years old, and married for over five years, with a young son, born almost two years ago. I was overjoyed to become a "doting' Gramma...yet I've been robbed of this title, since my son is extremely estranged from us (my hubby & I..we are over 34 yrs married). We have tried everything possible to open communication with them...we love them very much, but our love is being rejected right now...we just need a lot of prayers. I miss my little baby grandson, who I last saw so briefly when he was only six months old. I've never really interfered with them..don't give advice..nothing..but want to love my little grandson up close. Problem..they won't let me see him..they reject all the love I have for them..it's been extremely difficult..I cry a lot about missing these important relationships right now. Just asking for prayer...there are a lot of rejected grandparents out there...some really good and loving grandparents..just being treated like they don't exist and their adult children won't let them have any contact with their own grandchildren...I'm in real need of prayer about this. I only can dream of someday having sweet contact with my little grandson...I miss this a lot...Thanks..for anyone who could pray for me about this...hurting a lot today..my little grandson will soon be two..it's been over 14 months since I've been allowed to even see him..they won't even let us give him his Christmas gifts..still wrapped in a huge bag in my basement....crying right now....
