I got a message from GeneH today, asking to post this on this group site

Tamara22 a member here on DS, lost their home to a fire. She has no place to live. There is a trust account set up at Mid Florida Bank under the name Ancahas. This must be Tamara's last name. I am sorry I do not have any further information. I am just posting here, what I received from Gene.

Don't know. I do know Gene posted this in another group, and we all offered our prayers. I guess if someone wants to donate, they could check it out further.....

DS rules state that you are not allowed to solicit money. For anything, even a good cause. Sadly, with the internet being what it is, and the evil in people's hearts, I would advise you to send an abuse form to DS. I find it suspicious that the person would not post here themselves.

I don't know about the US, but in Canada, people can be sent to jail for falsely saying they need money. A woman claimed on the internet to have cancer and raised thousands of dollars to help her treatment. Strangely, people donated, even though in Canada everything is paid for. She was investigated as a fraud and imprisoned.

So please don't send money and do report this to DS.
