Hi folks! Haven't been around much lately but been hopping! I have been diagnosed with Melanoma and am getting ready for surgery. This really bites but I know there is a plan and he will turn it to good. I did 48 weeks of triple treatment for hep-c and cleared that 2.5 years ago. Now this hits and man! they are not sure if it has spread or not so I am asking god to not let that be! It is a bit scary but I know there is a plan.

Anyway I just would like to have your prayers if you can!

Hi all! Thank you for the prayers. I will be going to Johns Hopkins for surgery on the 12th. Praise God I am here in the Balt - Wash area. We have some of the best medical facilities in the world here. I have been praying for strength. I am also pretty mad at the whole situation! Anger and Gods grace got me throught the last health battle and will get me through this also. I truly hate to bring this on my family after all the last stuff! I can only hope they are all strong enough for it.

God's got it! Worst that happens is I go home! Not really ready for that but it's in God's time not mine. Am getting better at letting go and moving on. BTW it hit me that I have been praying for a stronger faith and this will do just that!

Sounds like God's plan is working in your life Bill. We go through so much pain and suffering and always question why. What happens is according to his plan and we may not always see it, but if it increases one's faith whether yours or another then it is for good. God bless. Praying your experience is not painful or a burden on your family.

Thanks acceiiora! You know it occurred to me on my initial fight with God about the whole thing, Why not me? I am not immune to the suffering! Realized that when I calmed down and talked to him. I heard his voice that day. He said to me that I was asking for a stronger faith and why not me? He also said I will never leave you or forsake you! Gotta love it!

PS: Am trying to get as much ride time in as possible before surgery as I will not be able to ride for a while and will certainly miss my devotional spot!
