This is really a sad subject for me to be writing about on here. My friends are nice people and they are Christians. But here is the problem, their son wants to change into a woman. In fact he is taking hormones and living as woman now.
They have cut their son out of their lives completely. This is something that I would never do. If my daughter came to me and told me she wanted to live as a man I WOULD NOT

be happy about it, but I would not abandon her. I am asking that we all pray for their reconciliation, in whatever way God may want to accomplish that.

I will pray for their reconciliation. I think there are support groups for parents of people who've come out gay, and other situations that might be similar to this. A support group might help the parents to better understand their son's issues, and his feelings. May God bless this family. Judy

some how I missed this sorry Jenn What a hard thinggto go through on his own.
i will pray of course for reconciliation and healing.
No matter what my sons did we their parents stood with them. It hasnt been easy, but God is using the pain and hurt andhardship to work not just in them but in us theirparents our lives as well.
I will be praying the same for them. No matter whatis done to the body the person inside is the same.God doesrestore if we ask.

I can understand them feeling like that Jenn. their world has suddenly crashed and as Christians they see him doing something so wrong. It feels like an afront to God and them, perhaps they even feel they caused it because of something they did or didnt do. I wish they would come on, Iam sure there must be a support group for this type of situation too.

Oh Father wrap this devistated couple in your arms of love give them peace and assurance that they are not at fault in anyway, that you do have a plan and their son is still precious to you. heal their hurts their wounds and help them to love him unconditionally in Jesus name Amen.

We all yearn for and need unconditional love, that's for sure. We can always find it from God, but not often from others, unless they have more understanding of God's great love and are working on their spirituality.
I think it would help them to come here. They are taking his behavior personally instead of realizing he is trying to be who he feels like he is inside. They need to give him his freedom, just as God gives each of us our freedom. I'm still praying for them...
