It Amuses and Saddens Me At the Same Time

I am watching a program on the science channel. Some man over in England has made a 'God Helmet'. He contends that God is in our minds to keep us from panicking at the thought of death. He says that if he stimulates the right front temporal lobe that he can create and experience with God.
I can't help but shake my head at the audacity of mankind. And it saddens me at the same time. There are so many people out there that are trying to prove there is no God; but in the process all they do is prove that there is.
I have had many experiences with my God. My right front temporal lobe is scar tissue. Therefore, not functioning. I wonder what would happen if he put that helmet on me? How could they explain away my own experiences?
I love watching the science channel. It gives me a glimpse of other worlds that the Lord has made. It is Psalm 100:3 Know ye that it is the Lord that hath made us; and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His fields."

I think it stems from pride, when they fail to acknowledge the living God. But God has created a wonderful universe, with everything just at the right temperature and the right amount of oxygen for us to live in this world, and see the heavens - the universe. It is so true - God is not contained in the human brain - we can only be awestruck at his power and majesty - and that He cares and loves us so much.

I agree with you. It seems the more people try to disprove the existent of God, they tend to just prove it more and more. My boyfriend and I have some wonderful chats about God and religion. He is a Buddhist while I'm a Christian. And one thing I love about it is that we have some wonderful chats about the world and God etc... He is by no means mean and says that he's just not sure whether or not God exists. But the more he tries to prove He doesn't....I tell him He does!!!

Hello everyone! This how Psalm 14:1 copies out of the BlueLetterBible: "The fool hath said in his heart, [There is] no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, [there is] none that doeth good"

The parenthesis are where those words are either implied or are simply not found in the Hebrew. So, the fool has probably not only said "there is no God", but actually found the audacity to answer God with "no God".

God says, "I love you." The fool says "no God."

God says, "I am your strength and your help." The fool says "no God."

God says, "you are lost without me." and the fool says, etc. Pity the fool. I am often a fool!
