God's Timing

Maybe you have been praying for something. You have asked the Lord again and again. 


You think to yourself, "He is a big God, He is surely capable of answering my prayer."


We often forget that God is more interested in building our character than providing comfort. 


Have you ever thought that although He is omnipresent, He has many many children to answer to?


As believers I think we need to seek WHO HE IS rather than WHAT HE CAN DO FOR US. 



Praying for all who are suffering.

Thank you for sharing. That is all very true. For Who He Is transforms us more, then in what we can get. His Love is Eternal. The things of this world will pass, even these bodies. It is better to endure this life, then to be endure eternity. Praying for you, Carina. The Lord does have many children, but He loves each one. Thank you and God Bless.

I tell this to people all the time. Especially when they are hurting and suffering!

“More than that, we rejoice in our suffering, knowing that suffering produces endurance and endurance produces character and character produces hope. And hope does not disappoint, because God’s love has been poured out by the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” Romans 5:3-5

Here's a scripture for you:

James 4:3 New Life Version (NLV)
3 Or if you do ask, you do not receive because your reasons for asking are wrong. You want these things only to please yourselves.

James's was a brother of Jesus. He was not happy with a brother who insisted He was equal to God. But, after the resurrection, James became a believe. Never was overproud of his relationship
with Jesus.

In this passage, he reminds us God will not answer our prayers because we ask with the wrong motive. We ask because it will please us. He then goes on to reprimand the group he is writing to that they need to be in Gods will and ask for things that please God.
