The World Food Programme has a website called Free Rice. It features a vocabulary game where for each correct answer you choose, the sponsors donate 10 grains of rice to people in need. You don't need to sign up or anything, so if you've a few minutes free in the tea break today, why not feed a family?

I think feeding the poor is one place evangelicals have really fallen down. But Jesus himself tells us how important this is. Please note verse 35 in the following passage!
"Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ 37 Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38 And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39 And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40 And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me." Matt 25:34-40

"Crossing the threshold...means doing something totally new for society and the Church; because 'anyone who is in Christ is a new creation' (2 Cor 5:17-21).
Crossing the threshold of the faith leads us to forgiving and to know how to break into a smile. It means approaching every person who lives on the edge of existence and to call them by name. It means taking care of the weakest and supporting their trembling knees, in the certainty that what we do for the least of our brothers we do for Jesus himself (Mt 25:40).
