This is a place for everyone who loves Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior (or those who are seeking Him), to come and discuss important issues in their lives and find support from fellow believers in regards to their faith and life. We uphold the Bible and living a Christ-like life, not as a way to heaven, but as a reflection of our love for God.
I have a wonderful boyfriend, a full time job, a church to go to and nothing is missing in my life. I met J. in the church and I admire him for many reasons. He is intelligent, funny, strong, sweet and he cares about me. Unfortunately, our feelings are stronger than a simple friendship. He says that God put me in his life for a reason. His brother thinks the same. I love my boyfriend and I will spend my life with him. But I also believe that God put J. in my life for a reason, a good reason. When we are together I feel that God is not angry and that J.'s company is right, is meant to be. Do you believe that God put special people in our life for a reason?
You seem to imply your concern about your relationship when you use the words: "Unfortunately" and "feel that God is not angry". I get the sense that you are concerned about offending God, and that your relationship is possibly not in compliance with His rules. You may not be saying this, but the whole tenor of your post is you're concerned a bit about what God thinks.
Even though society has strayed a lot from God's law, I still believe that we must strive to be abstinent when it comes to sex, unless and until we're married. It is truly difficult, and we may even fail, but it's good to repent and begin again to strive to be chaste.
If I've misread what you're implying, forgive me, but my comments still stand for anyone else that reads this. God bless you and help you to find His path for your life, and to lead you safely home to heaven.
Stay friends, but put up rules right away!! Tell J you appreciate him, but there is someone else in your life for that right now. You might be surprised. He may be willing to be just friends. Don't rush!! Remember, God has His own timing!!!
Walk away from this "special" person, unless you are willing to lose your boyfriend.
