This is a place for everyone who loves Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior (or those who are seeking Him), to come and discuss important issues in their lives and find support from fellow believers in regards to their faith and life. We uphold the Bible and living a Christ-like life, not as a way to heaven, but as a reflection of our love for God.

Thank you for any who might read this Post. Often it takes me awhile to write things out. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. In that weakness, The Lord shows me His Greatness. Often when I have difficulties, The Lord's Peace lets me remember and focus on Him. He lifts my mental haze, when I focus on Him. It is Love to Truth to Understanding. When my mind is a jumbled mess, He guides it in Truth to greater Understanding. It is a wonder, that I can see, because it is in me. I see it too, when I do His Work, and try to help and encourage others. Most of the other times, I am just a mess. If God can use a mess, then He can use you, not matter what mess you might have.
I watched a tv show on Easter about The Lord Jesus. Certain parts stuck with me. I will share about one now, and hopefully the other at a later date, if it stays with me. This part was of when The Lord Jesus healed the blind man.
Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth. And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him. I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay. And He said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing. Therefore the neighbors and those who previously had seen that he was blind said, “Is not this he who sat and begged?” Some said, “This is he.” Others said, “He is like him.” He said, “I am he. ” Therefore they said to him, “How were your eyes opened?” He answered and said, “A Man called Jesus made clay and anointed my eyes and said to me, ‘Go to the pool of Siloam and wash.’ So I went and washed, and I received sight.” Then they said to him, “Where is He?” He said, “I do not know.” They brought him who formerly was blind to the Pharisees. Now it was a Sabbath when Jesus made the clay and opened his eyes. Then the Pharisees also asked him again how he had received his sight. He said to them, “He put clay on my eyes, and I washed, and I see.” Therefore some of the Pharisees said, “This Man is not from God, because He does not keep the Sabbath.” Others said, “How can a man who is a sinner do such signs?” And there was a division among them. They said to the blind man again, “What do you say about Him because He opened your eyes?” He said, “He is a prophet.” But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind and received his sight, until they called the parents of him who had received his sight. And they asked them, saying, “Is this your son, who you say was born blind? How then does he now see?” His parents answered them and said, “We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind; but by what means he now sees we do not know, or who opened his eyes we do not know. He is of age; ask him. He will speak for himself.” His parents said these things because they feared the Jews, for the Jews had agreed already that if anyone confessed that He was Christ, he would be put out of the synagogue. Therefore his parents said, “He is of age; ask him.” So they again called the man who was blind, and said to him, “Give God the glory! We know that this Man is a sinner.” He answered and said, “Whether He is a sinner or not I do not know. One thing I know: that though I was blind, now I see.” Then they said to him again, “What did He do to you? How did He open your eyes?” He answered them, “I told you already, and you did not listen. Why do you want to hear it again? Do you also want to become His disciples?” Then they reviled him and said, “You are His disciple, but we are Moses’ disciples. We know that God spoke to Moses; as for this fellow, we do not know where He is from.” The man answered and said to them, “Why, this is a marvelous thing, that you do not know where He is from; yet He has opened my eyes! Now we know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does His will, He hears him. Since the world began it has been unheard of that anyone opened the eyes of one who was born blind. If this Man were not from God, He could do nothing.” They answered and said to him, “You were completely born in sins, and are you teaching us?” And they cast him out. Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when He had found him, He said to him, “Do you believe in the Son of God?” He answered and said, “Who is He, Lord, that I may believe in Him?” And Jesus said to him, “You have both seen Him and it is He who is talking with you.” Then he said, “Lord, I believe!” And he worshiped Him. And Jesus said, “For judgment I have come into this world, that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may be made blind.” Then some of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these words, and said to Him, “Are we blind also?” Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, ‘We see.’ Therefore your sin remains.
John 9:1-41 NKJV
This account has great relevance today, as much in The Bible does. We see a man with a disability being excused of being a great sinner, or that his parents were great sinners. This is how the world justifies not helping those in need. Unfortunately, the world can creep into the Doctrine of some Believers. We can't be bothered with those in need, because they either deserve their struggles, or they don't work hard enough for better things. It is their own fault or their parents' fault. The Lord sees that need, as a chance to Glorify The Father. When we do His Work in helping those in need, we Glorify The Lord. This means that some in need are in that situation to Praise The Lord, when they are helped by The Lord through us. They are Blessings, not burdens.
This becomes more impactful, when we see ourselves in need. We feel guilty of sin or an inherited sin, when none are there, especially once we ask to be Saved and Forgiven. Our sin is forever cleansed from us, as long as we Believe. We feel less, when The Lord can use us for so much more. In our weakness, He is made stronger.
The question of the final Verses in This Chapter is something to contemplate.
These Verses are easily taken out of context of the whole Chapter. We must be humble, to know we need Him (blind), because only through Him can we have sight. This means we all need His Healing. We all need His Strength. By saying we can do it on our own, we say, "We see". We all need Him. No matter how we are made blind (put in need), it is done, so He can make us See, and Glorified Him. The other point is, that all are blind, till we See with The Light Of The Lord. He Is Our Light. Without Him, we are lost.
The point of judgement is to some, the point where The Lord punishes those who can't see, or He makes them blind. We must read the whole. There are two types: One are those who don't know (the blind), the Other are those that think they know truth (those who need to be made blind). That is seen as the Pharisees ask if they are blind. They think they know Truth, as they say, "We see." The Lord says because of this their sin remains. They need to come in need (blind), so their sins can be removed, and be without sin. We see this in more detail, if we look to the Apostle Paul. His belief pushed him to arrest and even execute Christians as Saul. He needed The Lord to literally blind him, so he could come in need, and have his sins washed clean. Coming before The Lord when you have need or feel weak, is humbling yourself. This is focusing on His Light then on our own way. It is truly seeing. In our weakness He is made stronger. To See, we must blindly come to Him, and See His Light.
Thank you for reading this. I pray that it granted more understanding. If so, All Praise And Credit goes to The Lord. God Bless you all.
Abraham was afraid (Told his wife 2 say she was his sis & did not want 2 speak 4 GOD because he feared his speech was poor )
Moses was a murderer (Egyptian)
David was a murderer & adulterer (put Uriah ,I think in front of battle 2 b killed)
etc.
I think , the end is near and we must shine our lights now more than ever .
The world wide web is a good venue 4 that 4 those of us who can't go out much .
I think , we have a window of opportunity but it will soon close so I think it is important that u continue 2 illuminate the darkness in this world.
Could this verse be in reference to Adam and Eve? Their eyes were closed when they had a perfect relationship with God's love and guidance for them, but when their eyes were opened to Sin they became blind to God. I hope and pray that we never become so wrapped up in our lives that we become blind to God too? Hope this helps and thanks for sharing this beautiful passage with us!
We can come to Him as just blind, or come to Him having been made blind. When we think we know Truth and we don't, we must be made blind to See. If we say we See and don't, then we are lost to sin. The Lord Is Our Light, Our Truth, And Our Way. We come to Him blind and in need. He gives us Sight to follow Him. He Is Our Only Way To Salvation. We must know That, as the formerly blind man confessed.
It is a good topic about Adam and Eve, as they needed The Lord to always guide them in Good, before they ate of The Fruit from The Tree of The Knowledge of Good and Evil. It is as we must do today. We must focus on The Lord and always be guided in His Good. Blind to the evil of the world, yet Seeing because of The Goodness Of The Lord. He Is All Wise.
I hope this made sense, or even sparked a new Post. Thank you, and God Bless.
