This is a place for everyone who loves Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior (or those who are seeking Him), to come and discuss important issues in their lives and find support from fellow believers in regards to their faith and life. We uphold the Bible and living a Christ-like life, not as a way to heaven, but as a reflection of our love for God.
All of us here on DS have had extraordinary evnts or personal ailments in our lives. A few weeks ago I met a man online (on Pogo) that was dianosed with cancer. He was very distraught. He is a single parent of two l special needs children. He has very little money and couldn't afford treatment. He was ex military so I suggested that he go to the VA for help.
When I spoke with him a few days later he told me that his treatments are going well. The VA is helping him. Not paying for it all because he did not retire out of the military; but helping him get his treatments.
Now what about the revelation?
What if I hadnt been hit by that car in 1976? What if my first husband hadnt been so cruel? Would I have been at this particular place and time to help this one individual? How many individuals will he help in his lifetime? How many peoples lives will he change, or will his children change because is still around?
I guess it's kinda like that story about the Jewish women in the Prison Camp. Be thankful in the Lord for everything. You never know how seemingly bad things will bring glory to His name.
