She will send you one more email at least, because these entitled young adults always want the "last word". I think your response to her was great. Is there a way to block her on your email so when she sends an email it rolls back to her unread?

This young woman is not speaking God's truth. It is not that you are choosing your husband instead of your son. They set it up this way on their terms. The truth is you would love to be there for your son but you also want to see your husband honored because it is God's command.

If she does respond, ask her if she intends to treat her DH, your son, the same way that they are asking you to treat your DH. Ask her is she would go to a party if someone wanted her but did not like her husband.

Excellent advice DoverFox. I find that also works with friends who feel it is their right to be rude but don't want it back. A friend was talking behind my back. I finally brought to her attention that I knew she was asking questions about us behind my back and if she wanted to know anything about me that she should ask me directly. She fumbled around for a response but going forward she has been careful of her comments.

She did sent me another email and I had to tell her again how wrong she is. I told her she can keep secrets in her upcoming marriage to my son, if she wants to but it is wrong. She said a lot of other hurtful things that are lies. I have blocked her from my email and facebook. I am so upset. I only have the youngest stepdaughter that is still speaking to us. Older stepdaughter is helping to spread the lies. My es and older son even madder at me now, believing the lies. I wonder how long it will be before gf tears my youngest stepdaughter away from us.

We can not control what others do. Sadly our EC have an agenda ( our ED did ). It is not one of peace. That is against God's Biblical way for families and all people. All we can do is pray that God will change their hearts.

I would send (cause I am tired of these entitled "children" ) an engraved plaque stating...my dear GF (not wife by the way)...in marriage vows... which you (GF) have not taken yet nor has my son...in the marriage vows the minister says "What God has joined together let no man(or woman) put asunder"...Do you (GF) consider yourself above what God has joined together in Holy Matrimony ???? If so I fear for your eternal salvation and that of my son also....Oh and I need to mention one of God's Ten Commandments which is HONOR THEY FATHER AND MOTHER....SEEMS YOU TWO ENTITLED ONES ARE BENT ON IGNORING GOD AND HIS TEACHINGS...SO BE IT...YOU WILL ANSWER TO HIM...I am done conversing with people who wish to go against the Ten Commandments and Gods teaching. I do pray that He has mercy ob your souls.

Sorry if it sounds like a rant these two "children" seem intent on causing you and DH untold misery while they try to tear your lives apart and if I lived close to you I would deliver the plaque on your behalf.

Soverysad, how long has this been going on? There does come a time to simply not let them do this any longer. Just keep telling them they are wrong, and live your life in a way that shows them they are wrong. Eventually, with time, they will get the message.

I've been through it. I know how much it hurts. But, God does give strength, and you have to look after yourself.

At the end of the day, it is the work of the enemy, we all know that. We cannot let him win!

I have to say my DH's EC and my ED have tried the same thing. They never said one of us had to leave, but they cut DH or myself to the point DH and I were fighting all the time ---for years.

We finally just started avoiding EC. It is very peaceful with out all the hurtful things that were said.

We have found out with DH's ED that we cannot respond whatsoever. Whatever we say, will be used against us in a variety of ways. My husband does not respond to any emails, FB has been blocked, and telephone calls go into voice mail. Period.
