gordos....I'm sorry if this sounds like I am trivializing your hurt and confusion, but when I read your post, the first thing that came to my mind was to suggest that on "their" next birthday, treat yourself to something really expensive, gift wrap it with beautiful bows and an expensive card addressed to yourself from your two boys. Wish yourself 20 years of Happy Forgotten Birhtdays from "Your beloved Sons." Then thank them generously for their thoughtfulness. ......Betcha they get the point!

Guelsmom, LOL again! I was a strict mother, but NEVER once beat them, verbally abused them, or neglected them. They got spankings when needed & the occasional clip on the mouth for sassing back. They were raised going to church, & being taught manners & taught right from wrong. I wonder where all that information went??? It seems to have disappeared..If they werent 26 & 28 years old, I would take them out to the woodshed! LOL

Ha!! Victoria....In todays world "taking your child to the woodshed" can be hazzardous to your health...um pocketbook.

Not too long ago a 12-year-old girl took her father to Court after he said she couldn’t go on a school trip for disobeying his orders to stay off the Internet. When the father wouldn’t sign the release form for the trip, the child went to live with her mother, who encouraged the legal action that culminated in the court ruling for the child.

Also, I recently read where a teenage girl sued her mom because her mom took her CD player away from her as punishment for something claiming that it was her property since the mom had given it to the daughter as a gift - and won!! (Wonder where that relationship will end up)

On the internet there are even instructions for children on how to go about suing their parents....

lindajoan, I agree with you. Unfortunately, my son couldnt care less what God commands. He is bent on destroying my spirit. I pray to God I have the strength to resist..I cant take much more.

You are not a horrible mother because they don't give you presents or acknowledge special days. They are adults I presume?..that makes THEM horrible sons!
I will pray for you to have the courage to put a stop to this abuse, ....albeit in a loving and Christlike manner....You are being bullied and bullies feed on weakness.

there are boundaries to be drawn soon, or else he is going to be terror to women and he will get away with it, if you allow him to walk over you too. Think of the women he will "hook up" with and the meaness they will have to suffer from him, if you can't seem to stand up to his abuse?
