CHRISTIAN PARENTS of ESTRANGED ADULT CHILDREN Community Group
Estrangement makes it difficult to talk about with family, friends, neighbors and church members. Christians are NOT immune to broken families. Talk about your experiences with those who know how you feel and get positive support through your Christian faith...."In these last days difficult times will come, for men will be lovers of self...disobedient to parents,...
Looking at the Christmas tree, I don't turn on the tv...too many commercials for kid's toys.
Getting screamed at by my husband for crying. "You have nothing to cry about! You have me!"
But my three grandsons were my world. The only reason I worked was to spend money on them.
But do I want my 30+ Ed back in my life?
Do I want to go back to the constant ER visits because she refuses to eat and won't take her medicine?
Look at her bony, scrawny body? Get the constant texts about her never ending symptoms? Listen to how she was in a tornado and now has PTSD? ( she lost nothing, no one....all were safe. Not even debris in the yard.) did I ask if all were OK after the tornado? "yes, everyone's fine." Then got yelled at the next day because "You weren't hysterical enough!"
I was stuck in bed with a non healing bone fusion. I went back to sleep, prepared to blow away, just glad they were OK.
Do I want all the texts and face book comments about her depression? I got her plastic surgery for her bags under her eyes, "I'm just toooo depressed to go on!" Of course she ended up flying immediately to a plastic surgeon in Beverley Hills for more surgery because the first guy "ruined her." He will fix her for a mear &40,000 cash.
Her face is stunning. A stunning skeleton. Her plastic surgeon here is a rock star. He rebuilds faces for the burn center. I got screamed at for telling her she was beautiful.
Last Christmas I didn't see the boys either.
She's always too sick.
Facebook is still her main place to recant her symptoms, tell of her latest ER visit where they could find nothing wrong. All doctors are stupid you know.
Yes, she does have a disease called EOE. But she demands complete and total obescience to it. Her illness is now her idol. I will bow down no longer!
So I'm OUT.
She says she can only have people in her life who agree with her.
Wouldn't that be a nice world?
To rant about her abusive childhood ( which is a laugh riot to her brother) on Facebook.
To hear about the 30yr old virgin man who never had a date who hangs around and babysits her boys.
A YES she is married.
She's mentally ill.
I can't help her. And I can no longer protect her boys.
And her husband, though a great man and dad, needs to grow a pair!
I need to accept it.
I don't want that in my life anymore.
I can only hope God gives me another look at my boys someday.
I proved my love to them, and hope they remember that.
Everything I could apologize for was only turned against me.
I'm rebuilding life from the ground up.
Losing my life so I can gain it.
I will not worship her illness and wrap her in attention and sympathy.
Even if that means losing the boys.
I must go on.
Even though it looks like I lost everything.
Then a jealous biddy from church warned her.
My daughter is very very very good at garnering sympathy.
I have decided I will not fall into the same sin.
My husband should be kinder to me, but I will not make my family bow down to my depression.
I will only snap out of it as fast as I can get my body back in shape. I'm on the elliptical now :)
We will trust God no matter what others do to us including our EC.
