CHRISTIAN PARENTS of ESTRANGED ADULT CHILDREN Community Group
Estrangement makes it difficult to talk about with family, friends, neighbors and church members. Christians are NOT immune to broken families. Talk about your experiences with those who know how you feel and get positive support through your Christian faith...."In these last days difficult times will come, for men will be lovers of self...disobedient to parents,...
It certainly seems very common of adult children in this generation to be this way. We can not force it but a little communication would mean so much. If they know the Lord they may act a little better with parents but not always.
My other son, who was estranged for 7 years and now we are trying to work a relationship, is married with a daughter and he tries to skype with me once in awhile, but for now I need to be patient (not my virtue) and hopefully I won't feel so "intruding" if I call him. When we skype, he and granddaughter can talk for 20+ minutes, his wife just comes on for a minute to say "hi".
It is what it is I guess.
