CHRISTIAN PARENTS of ESTRANGED ADULT CHILDREN Community Group
Estrangement makes it difficult to talk about with family, friends, neighbors and church members. Christians are NOT immune to broken families. Talk about your experiences with those who know how you feel and get positive support through your Christian faith...."In these last days difficult times will come, for men will be lovers of self...disobedient to parents,...
The prodigal Son is mentioned a lot thru Christian doctrine and GuelsMom has posted the true scripture on that many times and does a great job,
I have a feeling that in your daughters case the enablers (those she has lied to) are telling her she needs to forgive you (as parents) to be "right" with God. The initial problem is...you did not do those horrid things that she has told them...so what really is she forgiving??? Lies she told????
This is a tough one...but as a parent there has to be a two way street and consequences must be dealt with by those who chose the wrong path.
Once done correctly then all can go forward in truth and love...
I dont know about the trust issue though once it is destroyed (for myself personally)
Blessings to all in hopes it will go well.

Yes, GuelsMom She even put things in writing encouraged by the "enablers" in order to gain financial aide. She knows it came to our attention. Only the few who does not know us bought into the "victim" story.
But really what do we need forgiveness for? What did we do? I more than anything want her back in my life, but I have to wonder how I will handle it if she does not ask forgiveness for what she has done. I still Love her and always will, but I know I love the person she was and before she met him she was a blessing. Do you think we can ever really get those children back? Or were they really who they are now all along and we just didn't know it? She actually acts like her real father. He walked away from all of his family too, including her. She became him and didn't even know him then. Sorry for the rambling. Just having a hard time tonight.
We have forgiven our ED in our hearts and would love to tell her so if she would ask us to. She is of the mindset (believing her lies) that she needs to forgive us. I think many of our ED are delusional. I know our ED is. Trust has been broken once estrangement happens but with God ALL things are possible. God is in control and can turn the hearts of these EC to truth. We must pray. I pray that they will heed God's voice.
God bless us all at this CHRISTmas time.
I pray everyone can have a wonderful Christmas!
God bless you my friends as we celebrate Him this season.
