I wondered what other parents here were talking about when they said they have been through the "reunions" with their EC only to find out they weren't real. I wondered why some of the other parents on this site guard their hearts now and don't dive in without testing the water. I wondered why some of us weren't convinced of the "change" in our EC. Now I see it. Now I understand why.
True change needs remorse. True change needs to acknowledge mistakes and seek forgiveness. True change is consistent and steady and it doesn't go back to the way it used to be. Instead if moves forward and becomes better. True change doesn't repeat the same hurts and tell the same lies. True change doesn't manipulate and take advantage of those willing to extend the bridge of peace and reconnection. True change doesn't just say I love you, but shows it in actions. True change, doesn't need prompting, it happens because it wants to truly change.
I hope and pray that we will come to see true change in our EC. Until then, we pray for them and we keep our hearts safe.

I feel that is why God's timing is so important! If he hasn't worked out the kinks in me as well as my ED, things will not be any different. I am in this for a reason and God wants all
things to work for good in his plan, NOT MINE! Then he will get the glory. NOT ME!!!!!
