Today I woke feeling rested and content. As usual, my thoughts turned to my ES but today it was different. The last day of May and another summer commencing reminded me of the summers when my ES was young - riding his bike, canoeing, hiking etc. The man he became still contains that happy little lad. He is probably doing the same with his two young sons. Its funny but I can have these warm thoughts of my ES and feel content with my life.

There will be set backs, but today is a good day. God's in his Heaven and all is right with the world. Blessings

Blessings to you sallyannlass. I, too, have had some of those good days and the longer the estrangement, the more good days I have, because each day I find more comfort that God is in control and in His timing he is working with our ES. My first prayer is that our ES returns to God and also brings his wife, a non-Christian. My second prayer is for them to return to our family.

God is Good - and His timing is always perfect.

Hallelujah! God is good, we should all look and savor these days. Sometimes when I look at old photos and think of my little boy , I get teary and very sad. Maybe I should look at it differently, like the good times that I had with him when he was a very young boy and the blessing it brought me. Now he is far away but maybe the Lord will bring him back. I too, wish for him to be first reconciled with God.

I had those days also. Sometimes I had a hard time remembering the good days, sometimes I didn't want to remember because it made me sad that he had changed so much, and I wondered why God even gave me my son only to be estranged from him.

Then I remembered how God gives us children, on loan, to raise. And he gives us all free will, including free will to our children. Now I am thankful for God giving me my son and I pray that God will bring my ES back to Him and hopefully back to his family. God's timing is perfect so I have given my pain to God and he has held me.
