Hello sorry have not been online,my son and dil have broke our hearts again why do i keep putting myself through this torment?My gs b-day they said they didnt discuss it,well we managed to get him and gave his gifts,and went to bakery and got him 1 cupcake just for him he loved it.Then couple days later son called and they had to take gs to er he had been sick all day,son came from work 11-7 and dil waited tillhe got up to take to er,gs has asthma and she didnt even go with them,ispoke with my dr for opinion about this and that they have 3 dogs he said they are headed for a disaster,and that a 4 yr old can not fight off the issues with the dogs.So Thanksgiving is gone we are not invited i couldnt take anymore told dil off and i am sad very sad,but i also feel good to say what i needed to say.

Well sometimes we gave to speak out. If they can't take it ..what are we to do. Is like we are not allowed to speak...or there is trouble.

i hit a nerve,and the truth hurt. I told her dont be selfish,and it to be understood nothing better happen to gs,and he cant defend his self and that is what we are here for.And they should be ashame.My heart breaks for my gs.

He is an innocent victim. It does not make sense why they have dogs when their child is allergic or asthmatic. Maybe they will think about what you shared. You told the truth.

Personally, I think the time to 'teach' them anything is over. They don't want anything we have to say or offer. Might as well save your breath. It's just the ugly truth.
I walked on egg shells and even then, my ED walked away with my grandkids ... rejected all family, extended family and family friends. Guess she thought she could forge something new on her own .... I wonder if she has figured out that she still can't get away from herself!
God won't bless her life living in the way she does .... I guess they have to learn the hard way.

I fully agree...when I tried to reason with my Son..his reply was I'm not interested ...typed zzzzzzzzzzz on line when I tried my best to sort things out with him. All they are interested in is themselves. Sad but true.

God willing one day our EC will realize that in the new world they have tried to create without us that it is far from perfection and that the grass was not greener. God has a way of teaching people when we can not.

I have to agree with the others...our teaching days are over. My ES has gone against his teachings from his childhood, but I am still hopeful that if you raise up a child in the way of the Lord, when they are old, they will return to it. But until then, there is not one thing I can do about it except pray, which I do every day. And I, too, have a DIL who is mean, selfish, manipulative, oh there aren't enough adjectives to describe it. She has made our lives a total hell. But that was before the Lord led me to acceptance, so now I do feel better about it, although the situation is no different. But God is sustaining me. Please to you dear friend!

mydil is the type i call the "silent killer" never says anything just sits back and says nothing.She cussed our son out when there home wasnt ready to move in my dh heard it,and spoke up when he heard her.she doesnt make her daughter go to school,i think she lets her stay home to watch gs so she can sleep,been in new home 2 months havnt seen it yet,son called me and asked if we were having thanksgiving at our home orthere home i said i am not cooking and his remark was"we dont know what we are doing" but they got our free ham at food store for there home cause me and dh wouldnt be able to eat it but they are not cooking.Maybe i am looking for pity party.

I am always amazed by people who have kids with asthma and they still insist on having pets.....I too have severe asthma , I grew up with a smoking mom...she quit when I was 19 but the damage was already done...so they need to get rid of the dogs asap...and no smoking, no perfumes, no carpet etc....these are sacrifices parents must make to keep their kids with asthma safe...geesh...I am glad you told her off...you should have......

I dont really care if i dont speak to her,i cant miss anything i never had,i would have loved to have a good relasionship with her.My dh said she doesnt even want to fix i told him" there is nothing to fix until my gs health comes first there is nothing else i need to sayto her"Boy that feels good!!!
