I know I shouldn't do it but I get on line and hunt for stuff about my ED or Grandsons. When I do find something I find her posts on ExChristian.net saying how horrible I was to bring her up in a Christian home. She says when my husband and I separated and I started divorce proceedings she said I told her I felt this was what God wanted.
But then After much prayer I told her I was taking him back after getting Christian counseling. She said my saying that I thought God said one thing then changed my mind made her decide to disown me and become an atheist.
I am broken hearted. My other kids all wished us well and was happy we worked things out. My husband said she was using me as an escuse because her husband already had decided he was an atheist and they were fighting about it. It still hurts.

It is hard to see painful posts, I know Sylvia. My ED and her dad's wife keep their accounts private. ( They wouldn't want me to possibly see a photo of my grandchildren on their sites. ) That would be too kind and human.

We just have to continue praying for our EC's, and our innocent grandchildren. They're the ones that are truly hurt.

Sorry Sylvia. I understand. As much as my DH suggests I don't peek on FB, I often do. Our ED has no idea I am able. It is so hard to know what if what you read on there is real or not, though.

My ESIL accidentally posted a picture of my grandsons on FB that I was able to see. It was the first picture I had seen of them in over 5 yrs. The daughter I once knew and was so close to doesn't even exist any more.
I don't know the person she has become. I miss the person I knew and raised. I know Jesus said in the end times daughter would be against Mother and son against Father. I do believe it is the end times and our children need a lot of prayer.

It is kind of dangerous to look for information on line. For me, It seems to open up all the negative emotions again, but sometimes I can't resist.... Sounds like your daughter has to hold to this thinking to keep her husband happy and keep peace in her marriage. Prayers are with you.

No good comes from looking, but I understand it's hard not to. What she should understand is that God may have been leading you to leave but not divorce, or something might have changed, or you might have made a mistake in reading the intention, either way, how can she not just be happy that you two resolved things and stayed together? She'd rather you two be unhappy apart than to work things out together? Seems like she's running from God so hard that she's making every excuse to discount his existence and all her christian upbringing. The truth is, if you'd never separated she'd still have made up reasons to justify her current state. I'm with my DH 24 years and my son still finds reasons to blame me for everything wrong in his life. You can't win, they will find different reasons why it's all our fault.

I'm glad you accidentally got a glimpse of your grandson, that in itself is a blessing. I hope she comes around and things work out for your family.
