CHRISTIAN PARENTS of ESTRANGED ADULT CHILDREN Community Group
Estrangement makes it difficult to talk about with family, friends, neighbors and church members. Christians are NOT immune to broken families. Talk about your experiences with those who know how you feel and get positive support through your Christian faith...."In these last days difficult times will come, for men will be lovers of self...disobedient to parents,...

As a side note, my friend who had an ES due to her DIL hating her has taken a wonderful turn. ES was out of town when DIL got sick and was taken to the hospital. My friend went to the hospital and sat with DIL all night until she was stable. Their friendship has grown slowly since then and a week ago she called her MIL to say 'I love you'. Miracles are God's playground.
Now that she is 32, she seems to be more confident in her role as my son's wife and can see me as non-interferring. But it took 8 years of estrangement on their part and growing up before she came around.
She is a person that thrives on stirring up trouble with everyone she is around her family do that too. Kind of like a person causing a lot of cars to smash up then stands back just in 'amazement at all the problems, pretending to care'. She is very mentally ill and I have tried in the past to encourage her and help her but with her family influencing her....it is just to no avail. She just chases after her mother for attention, in reality it is very sad.
But she has devoted her life to planting lies in our son's mind about us and then out of no where he would be cold and mad at us....way too much drama and confusion. Just really a situation to let go of and pray she learns to really trust in the Lord and only him for her security.
