CHRISTIAN PARENTS of ESTRANGED ADULT CHILDREN Community Group
Estrangement makes it difficult to talk about with family, friends, neighbors and church members. Christians are NOT immune to broken families. Talk about your experiences with those who know how you feel and get positive support through your Christian faith...."In these last days difficult times will come, for men will be lovers of self...disobedient to parents,...

I don't know if you are able financially to see a lawyer and find out how much you can try to contact your daughter without it being considered to be harrassment. I wonder if people bandy about this as a threat toward people who are legitimatally concerned about their adult children's welfare. People often threaten because the other party doesn't know their rights. Maybe you should find out.
feeling....Based on the info that Tikva has provided, I would definitely not try to reach your ED until she tries to contact you. Yes, that's hard to do and if you don't think you can do that then it would be wise to take Tikva's suggestion of seeking a lawyer's advice first before attempting to reach her.
For the sake of resolution, I do hope and pray that your DH is able to be the olive branch in the family. We all want resolution and what type of attempts works for one does not work for all. My DIL suffers from mild paranoia due to events in her earlier years, her first husband walking out on her when she was pregnant, and a father that was in the CIA and waaaay too protective of her because he saw the worst of the worst in the world. Because of this, I have witnessed perfectly normal events being turned into imaginary threats to herself and her family through her blog that she had at one time. It was surreal to watch the transformation of a nugget of truth turned into a paranoid drama created solely by her imagination.
HUGS to you today,
I'm just thanking God that she finally provided a way for some communication to start. At first I would've been really mad if she had said she only wanted to communicate with her Dad, but since we've had no communication for so long and only rumors of what's happening and where she is that I started praying that someone...ANYONE who could give her Godly advice would be able to reach out to her.
My husband started crying saying it's stressful that she only wants to communicate with him because he's afraid he'll say something wrong and communication will stop. I told him not to worry. Just pray before he types and before he clicks send. If anything happens it may just be her. Please pray as he's going to send the 1st e-mail tomorrow night from his work, so she can see that the e-mail is just from him. Please pray that she'll e-mail him back; that she really wants to communicate.
God bless you and your DH.
((hugs)) praying for you today...hope that you are in a better place today.
Maddie
My husband wrote in it asking if she wanted anyone else to have her e-mail address like her teachers from her cosmetology school. It made me mad because he asked about teachers that I'm sure she could google out if she really wanted to get in touch with them, but didn't ask about me after I asked him to. I'm thinking of sending her an e-mail myself, but am waiting to see if he even gets a response.
