I stumbled on this website and found it very interesting. We're not alone. For whatever reason, estrangement is very common. It's a long read, but I found it helpful. I could totally relate to the Mom who said "I don't understand why I'm so unlovable".
No matter what you hear or who you hear it from (even if it is your own adult child) do not forgot what God says about all of us.
Estrangement is sin. I once read that estrangement speaks to the character of our EC not of us. Think about it! It does not make it easier but it puts it in perspective. The Bible speaks of it as a sign of the times.
Praying for each of you lovely mothers today. Hold your heads up high and live in His strength. Pray for our EC that one day they will know God and His Word and follow it.
