CHRISTIAN PARENTS of ESTRANGED ADULT CHILDREN Community Group
Estrangement makes it difficult to talk about with family, friends, neighbors and church members. Christians are NOT immune to broken families. Talk about your experiences with those who know how you feel and get positive support through your Christian faith...."In these last days difficult times will come, for men will be lovers of self...disobedient to parents,...
as the prodigal father did. All things in God's timing and according to His will.
I like that truth gma we are a beloved child of our Heavenly Father.
You are right..we need to move on, yet with forgiveness in our hearts and love enough to continue our lives in a positive forward motion.
God has a purpose for our emotional pain right now and He will use us to help others who are dealing with rejection also. I'm needing to work on getting healthier this year gma6..thanks for the reminder to put our health on our list of priorities.
By the way..I've been blocked so many times, and by important family members (sisters) on facebook..I don't have a fb account anymore..it's better for my mental and emotional health to not participate in the goings on there.
(((hugs)))
Maddie
An easy read. Makes me remember I'm a bride of Christ.
Good book.
Maddie, my son had a personal private family wedding, that I had to hear about from outsiders! Yep, time to move on.
Lord help us all.
I agree with the idea of redirecting our lives to God and other important issues. But I have to say here and it is my humble opinion only that no matter what my children do, they cannot take away from me that with my husband I made two beautiful children and they in turn have done the same. I am first a wonderfully made Child of God. Then I am a wife, mother, & grandmother. I am proud of it and will not be robbed of it. Without us, they would not be here. God gave us a wonderful gift, I wont and cant deny it.
forgottenmom, you are right. Remember we each will have to answer for what we have done.
Nana, I'm happy for you. You are blessed, indeed.
(hugs)
glazz....Glad to see you returning to scripture! Without either the Word of God or the Holy Spirit active in our lives, we cannot grow much in our Christian lives. The Spirit of God Through His Word encourages us through teachings about forgiveness, restoration and how to find His peace during our daily trials. He then straightens out our perspective that we would not need to fall anymore.
No to generate a discussion about the End Time by my perspective on the End Times is different than the popular Pre-Tribulation thought that has emerged during the last century. My belief is that everything happens all at once on the last day - the true Christians and non-Christian are separated on the last day along with the resurrection. (Luke 17) It is because of this "no second chance" view that I am so concerned for those who do not know Christ now - and I do agree and believe that day is rapidly approaching.
