Moving forward one day at a time with God's grace. Our EC are in God's hands. I will pray for our ED and wait
as the prodigal father did. All things in God's timing and according to His will.

I like that truth gma we are a beloved child of our Heavenly Father.

Even Jesus, who was perfectly God had many people reject Him, and turn their backs on Him..even today. He still loved enough to bear our sins on the cross and to teach us to love those who reject us in spite of the pain they have caused us. Loving them can also mean letting them go their own ways.

You are right..we need to move on, yet with forgiveness in our hearts and love enough to continue our lives in a positive forward motion.
God has a purpose for our emotional pain right now and He will use us to help others who are dealing with rejection also. I'm needing to work on getting healthier this year gma6..thanks for the reminder to put our health on our list of priorities.

By the way..I've been blocked so many times, and by important family members (sisters) on facebook..I don't have a fb account anymore..it's better for my mental and emotional health to not participate in the goings on there.

Hi Paws my son and his girlfriend are planning a wedding and we're not invited. Other family members can go but not us. It has made me hardly able to function. I go to bed crying, cry all night and get up crying.

Totally agree. Time to move on and build my life around God, my husband and myself. Time to stop protecting my son and dil's reputation and let the truth come out too!

I agree with the idea of redirecting our lives to God and other important issues. But I have to say here and it is my humble opinion only that no matter what my children do, they cannot take away from me that with my husband I made two beautiful children and they in turn have done the same. I am first a wonderfully made Child of God. Then I am a wife, mother, & grandmother. I am proud of it and will not be robbed of it. Without us, they would not be here. God gave us a wonderful gift, I wont and cant deny it.

soverysadmom, my heart to you. Sometimes, like in our situations, we have to let go or we could have a nervous breakdown. I came as close as one could have, and not sure I didnt, to realize, when the kids make it this clear, and we've done all we can, we HAVE to let go, and let God. We cannot make anyone want us in their life. I do believe they will open their eyes, but until then, we have to go on. I really believe a broken heart can kill us. We can mourn ourselves to death. I wish you all love and peace.

Paws, please know that I am still hurting. Not bragging. 2 of the grandchildren don't know us barely at all. He took them away when they were just getting to know us...now they are teens and preteens, boys, who have better things to do. There is no love loss for them. And my son, even tho he has messaged me, still cannot speak to me. My heart still aches. I didn't mean to offend or brag. Just saying that I will hold on to what I made with all I have.

Thru all the shock,pain of estangement, when I finally could focus on reading again, I started searching the scriptures for understanding and strength of what I was going thru.. I did come across the passage of "mothers will go against their dau" which was shocking , as my mother did go against me and enc the estrangement, She still shows no remorse or any motherly empathy for me.. I started to study Bible prophecy more , and found this to occupy my thoughts more than the hurt from the estrangement.. I do believe we are in the last days, not quite there but were riding on a snowball.... (sorry 21 below here, seemed appropriate) This has been a journey, but Ive come to accept this estrangement may not heal... but we are still commanded to love , and forgive, and pray.. I will love always. I will so be forgiving, but are they remorseful? I will pray, tho God is all in charge, this ill behavior is not Gods, but satanic. Our best weapon is to pray. God doesnt ask us to be whipping post or doormats.. what good would we be if we assume that position?? I will pray not just for my kids, but most importantly for my descendents. Will they even hear the gospel?? Im sure satan doesnt want that.. so in praying for them to know Jesus, and accept his teachings to heart. I am undermining satans strategy, It isnt about me anymore but about these future children, who may be strong in the faith, because some forgotten estranged grparent continued to pray for them,,, I tried to find good examples of parenting in the Bible, to see what I did wrong.. umm there wasnt much,, honestly the male figures rather blew it,, Mary?? how could she not be she had an angel speak to her , her child was Gods, but it doesnt mention the rest of the kids.... One little lady stood out,,, She was barren and prayed daily at the temple.. I think she was ridiculed too.... She made a promise to God the child would be his,, she finally got her child, she raised him for his first 3 years and then lead him by hand to the temple to be raised by the Rabi.. Wow at 3 yrs, who of us here would do that??? The child became Samuel, the priest who annointed David as king... I wonder if it isnt a symbolic example , of how to raise children.. these kids are they really ours?? I think the best answer is to pray and stay steadfast in our faith, what we are going thru , tho its terrible , it hurts , is miniscule compared to those who will live during the last days of tribulation. we need to recognize we are building armour in seeing our weaknesses. we are in a battle. and we need to fight in prayer for ourselves and our descendents.

nana, I meant to convey that you are not JUST a parent, grandparent etc. There is much more to our lives, the most important relationship with God. He loans us these children to take care of, we do the best we can do, although not perfect and we release them. Yes we can still and should still pray for them, but I think until God is in their lives we are not to stay and wring our hands and weep tears forever over this. Otherwise we are not trusting Him. He knew all this forever. I think as parents we tend to put our children/families before God whether we know it or not. There is a closer bonding with the Lord once we release them to Him. It opens up our communication and growth in Him.

My belief is that everything happens all at once on the last day - the true Christians and non-Christian are separated on the last day along with the resurrection. (Luke 17) It is because of this "no second chance" view that I am so concerned for those who do not know Christ now - and I do agree and believe that day is rapidly approaching.
