Who knows every outcome? Can we control outcomes? God is really the only one who is all knowing. We can do our best to sow our good seeds so we can reap good things, but we have no control over what others sow and what the outcomes will be.
If our adult children are sewing estrangement, they will reap from that seed, but we can keep sewing seeds of love towards them because we will reap love in the end - peace in the end and God's blessings in the end.
Sometimes, I get scared about outcomes and feel compelled to control things so as to steer the outcomes as I want them to turn out, but I am learning to be less fearful of outcomes, realizing no matter what I do I cannot control outcomes and I am even learning to that I can dread an outcome or not worry about and outcome until it happens. I can trust God with outcomes.

I am praying for all in our group to find some peace in their lives. I lived in total turmoil for years, but I'm so thankful that other people didn't give up on me...they kept praying and they counseled me. They taught me to take care of myself. They said that I was the only person I could control. I could not control my estranged son. What a relief to turn control over to God.

mariasteve: I hear your want, to be sure that our children do not reap what they sow. It's scary i agree. Loss of being able to protect them is a helpless feeling. Its all been pre-destined. not that we don't have free will. But that He knows all. Sowing good seeds, is a good word to sleep on. We must sow Love- and never stop praying for them. Ever ! Thank you for your words, and thoughts.
The Persecution we bear for Christ will be rewarded in Heaven.
