This morning I received an email from my ES stating in part that my GS want to see me and that my ES is willing to set up a visit. The expectation is that we will establish a form of communication and re-establish a connection.

I haven't seen my ES for a year. There has been limited email communication from ES; none from my GS, who are 12 and 8, and none from my DIL, who had the blow up with my DH a year ago. My DH states that he does not want to be included in the visit. I am certain that he will catch me if it falls apart and be happy for me if the visit leads to a re-connection. But at this time he needs me to lead the way.

Although I will love to see my GS, it is my son that I am so very anxious to see. He is an only child and over the year I have learned a lot about estrangement and I am not expecting that a re-connect will re-establish what once was. In fact the visit may be a failure.

The premiere visit won't take place until later in September. God is working a miracle and I am not questioning His methods or timing. I have no problems with the wait.
