CHRISTIAN PARENTS of ESTRANGED ADULT CHILDREN Community Group
Estrangement makes it difficult to talk about with family, friends, neighbors and church members. Christians are NOT immune to broken families. Talk about your experiences with those who know how you feel and get positive support through your Christian faith...."In these last days difficult times will come, for men will be lovers of self...disobedient to parents,...
faith.....I can almost guarantee you that if she is married to a white supremist she is being brainwashed. Does she have any Christian beliefs, commitments to Christ or early childhood upbringing to help counter that brainwashing going on? What is the name of this group and the name of this supremist? (Just curious that's all.) What about a criminal record check? Do you have any contact with her at and if so in what form?
My heart really goes out to you because cultish like groups like this are extremely difficult to deal with because of the mind control and power these groups have over their victims. Right now, you are powerless to do anything if you can't contact her - other than stay on your knees in prayer. I would learn as much about this person and this group so that you will be prepared if you ever are contacted by her/them in the future.
Stay close and stay strong in who you are in Christ and make sure you walk the walk and talk the talk in any contact with them. Your ED needs to see the love of Christ in you rather than the hate she has to be seeing in her husband.
God Bless! We are here for you in this to the end! We do care for you as well as your ED.
We have been married 51 yrs and at first I was so ashamed that THIS could happen to us; we are born again believers in Christ and so are the 'boys.' What did we do wrong? we have asked ourselves for three years. This summer there has been somewhat of a reconciliation; although very lukewarm for all. We hear from them now about once a week; usually a text message. We now know they are all alright and I think that's all they wanted from us, to know we too didn't need any help; the pain has lessened somewhat.
Our faith in the Lord is the fundamental source of courage to go on each day. His Word tells us that in these end-times there will be trouble in the family; these scriptures helped relieved my guilt:
"And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against [their] parents, and cause them to be put to death." Matthew 10:21
"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth." 2Timothy 3:1-7
And these help build my strength to trudge on without my boys:
"For who is God except the Lord?
Or who is the Rock save our God,
The God who girds me with strength and
makes my way perfect?" Psalm 18: 31-32
"He gives power to the faint and weary,
and to him who has no might He increases strength
[causing it to multiply and making it to abound]." Isaiah 40: 29
May the Lord richly bless you, your two daughters and your dear husband.

Oh, and don't I know that it does indeed happen to Christian families...and as a matter of fact, I have to wonder if it doesn't happen more to Christian families, as we all know the closer we are to Christ the harder Satan will work to destroy our faith! Thus is why we must stand together to fight Satan and not let him take our faith away!
Unfortunately, I do not know the group my son-in-law is associated with, but yes, my daughter had a strong Christian foundation and upbringing, so I can only pray that is what will ultimately save her. And no, I have had zero communication with her for a little over a year now.
Finally, I absolutely agree that the Lord directed me to the right place to find some hope and peace with others who are going through similar circumstances. It is so scary to think that my daughter is beinng brain washed to this point...but even on my worst days dealing with all of this, I remind myself that the Lord will prove to use all of this for His glory...I just have to keep the faith!
Blessings to you all
I do want to welcome to our growing group of Christian parents that are estranged from their loved ones also. Everyone here is still hurting in some way but we still love them and pray for their happiness. I'm glad you found us although I'm sorry you need to be here. We're here to listen, help, comfort, and hopefully all grow together.
Hope to hear more from you often. PEACE to you today!
Wow! I have only been a member for one full day thus far and I have to tell you all, that of course my pain is still there, but it was really nice to be praying for all of you parents who are dealing with similar situations! I love the support of the group already and I love that I can at least pray for all of your situations...not just my own!
May you all have some peace today and we continue on this journey together!
