CHRISTIAN PARENTS of ESTRANGED ADULT CHILDREN Community Group
Estrangement makes it difficult to talk about with family, friends, neighbors and church members. Christians are NOT immune to broken families. Talk about your experiences with those who know how you feel and get positive support through your Christian faith...."In these last days difficult times will come, for men will be lovers of self...disobedient to parents,...
Now I must apologize in advance for sounding a bit mean....
I (me AllK seriously).... will text your son back and say...of course B is fighting your moms battles as you are a disrespectful adult man and someone needs to be a bigger bully than you...so you will know firsthand how this type of behaviour feels ...and now so am I (fighting a battle for her and you dont even know me or what I look like so when I appear to "fight her battles" you will caught totally off guard and unknowing...just as you do to her especially when she is at her weakest with other emotion.
And then I will quote proverbs 13 something at him (sorry cant remember the exact verse)....
These kids have got to learn accountibility somewhere somehow
By the way how is your father doing??? i have thought about your situation a lot.
AllK
AllKheirlyn, you don't sound mean at all! I am not going to give him the satisfaction of knowing he got to me. My hubby (who is ES's stepfather BTW), says if he starts up again, he will call ES until he answers & give him a piece of his mind. He wants to tell him to "grow a pair". I know that doesn't sound nice, but that is how my hubby feels.
My dad is still in hospice & getting more confused by the day. He called my husband by my brothers name today. He is now lingering, something he never wanted to do. I pray to God daily to be merciful & take my dad soon. He thinks he's at home again & tells me he wants to get out of there. WHen I try to explain to him why he cant, he gets upset. Its sooo hard to watch. They have him on a high strength pain killer, so I think that is why he acts so combative & confused. We all thought he would die last week, but for some reason, God doesn't want him yet...Thanks for asking about him
I would strongly suggest to your DH not to call him again. Both of you need to ignore him. IMO. As long as he gets any response, he will respond. His delay is only to show he has power. I would not believe he first heard his message today. That is another "let my mother sweat" moment.
Your dad needs you now. Don't let your son take your time with your dad away from you. He should be more considerate of you now instead of creating more unnecessary drama in your life.
God Bless,
My prayers are with you today,
It is so sad how our EC treat the elderly? Our ED has not come through and visited her sick 93 year old grandmother (my mother) although the invitation was extended. They will regret it in their soul, one day, I believe.
