CHRISTIAN PARENTS of ESTRANGED ADULT CHILDREN Community Group
Estrangement makes it difficult to talk about with family, friends, neighbors and church members. Christians are NOT immune to broken families. Talk about your experiences with those who know how you feel and get positive support through your Christian faith...."In these last days difficult times will come, for men will be lovers of self...disobedient to parents,...
He has been replaced by someone selfish, self-centered and mean to me.
And I have detached. I have accepted the fact that it is what it is; there is nothing I can do to change it; only God can change my ES's heart. And I have to be patient - in God's time, not mine.
Acceptance feels good. For me personally, once I accepted the fact that I did nothing wrong, that my son is a different person than the one I raised due to his love for a mean DIL, and there isn't anything I can do about it except pray, my world is opening up to other life choices for me. The next 20-30 years, depending on what God plans for me on this earth, is a short time and I cannot fret about something I can't change, only God can do the changing in my ES.
