CHRISTIAN PARENTS of ESTRANGED ADULT CHILDREN Community Group
Estrangement makes it difficult to talk about with family, friends, neighbors and church members. Christians are NOT immune to broken families. Talk about your experiences with those who know how you feel and get positive support through your Christian faith...."In these last days difficult times will come, for men will be lovers of self...disobedient to parents,...
I understand you so well, as I came from a similar background, and wanted to break the cycle of abuse with my own children, and God helped me do that. I have an older son who is not honoring my husband & I right now, and we have been very emotionally burdened by his ill treatment of us, so I understand how hurt you are about your son's alienation right now. You have found a place where other parents are in the same estrangement boat.
Your story will be used by God, to know that He saved you from real dangers..that alone is such a testimony to God's love and protection over your life.
thanks for sharing gordos4.. we have felt your pain and be encouraged today that you did not listen to those lies about you not being wanted or planned. God wanted you and He had great plans for your life. I understand how this estrangement with your son right now doesn't make sense, but God will somehow use you again, and as you know..Jesus has never left your side, He is still always there, and at the foot of your bed when you go to sleep and when you wake up..always there!
So sorry about missing your son, but so glad you found our forum here.
Your story was certainly NOT boring..but wow..you have so much to thank God for, and just like my story, He has delivered us from so much already, He knows how to help us now.
Your new friend, Maddie
You have such a sweet spirit. God Bless you in this pain. you are Loved by God, and Loved now, by Us. !
Thank you for your Transparency, it helps us all to see how different yet how alike we all are in this.
I too had abuse in my family, abandonment, and my sister has told me I wasn't wanted. There is also a family secret about a sister that died before me, but the details are kept. My parents won't tell me the date of her birth or death. It is very strange. Then I'm told I wasn't wanted.
So. I know that pain too. But, God has a plan for me and God has a plan for you. He has already used you here. To Bless us with knowing you, and knowing you are a part of our group.
Never feel alone, you are not alone.
I have prayed for so many things that have miraculously come true . It is in itself, the power of God to show Me I am wanted .
Bless you and sleep peacefully in the arms of your Heavenly Father who smiles over you, His Beloved .
He never sleeps, but watches diligently after YOU.
I am SO thankful I found this site, as there is virtually no one I can talk to about this, they don't understand. God's blessings on you all.
This estrangement issue is tough and I understand the pain you feel.
We were all good parents. God bless us all.
I am sorry you are alone & have no one to talk to. I am lucky I have my husband & youngest son. Prayers & hugs back to you!
