Hi everyone. It's been over 4 months since we heard from our pregnant, ED daughter and last week her longtime friend paid me a visit. Her friend is concerned over the estrangement and chatted with me about our ED and told me how our ED is filled with so much anger at me and her dad. Her friend was upset when I told her of our ED's arrest and her lying to us about her relationship with her abusive boyfriend. Her friend told me that our ED is upset that I haven't contacted her these past months, even though I did text her a number of times since she left home. Since the conversation with her friend, I sent another text to our ED just saying that we loved her and hope she is well. No reply.
I'm going to keep sending text messages every week or so and keep praying that our Lord will help her get past her anger so that we can be a family again.

Is it possible to tell her to come home? That you will pick her up? Does she feel trapped with the boyfriend? I would send a text asking her about her, the baby. You could tell her the door is always open for her (if that's what you want).
Or she might be embarased by what she did to you & tells a different story to her friend

I hope and pray things work out.

Good to hear from you sitto! So sorry this is going on for so long with you and ED but hopefully it will be resolved before the baby comes along.

I found it interesting that you said that her longtime friend paid you a visit and that your conversation involved information that caused me think that she had been also been talking to your ED about this estrangement. Could your ED have asked her to be a "mediator" between you two by any chance? If so, this to me, would be a good sign.

Yet, I also find it interesting that your ED's friend knew nothing about the arrest.

Please let us know if ED responds to any of the messages you send?

my son often claims doesnt get my text while I manage get all his requests wise make you wonder mind your case perhaps man delete them is possible send letter ?

I have been sending very short text messages about once every two weeks or so, to my ES's private cell phone, the one I know he takes to his workplace. I never get any replies, so I feel like I am communicating to an invisible person. My ES must know that I care, since the messages are positive and short. I just keep praying that he will someday send me a reply. It drives me crazy that he ignores me this way, but God is helping me to give Him all of these negative feelings I have over this.
Do you think your messages to your ED's cell phone are getting intercepted by the abusive boyfriend? That is a possibility here.
Not sure if my DIL is intercepting the messages to my ES..but that's a possibility as well.
Just short messages of concern about my baby grandson..I am missing him terribly. :(

Thanks, everyone, for your concern and replies, they have helped me so much. Our ED's friend wants to help try and reconcile us. I know that she told our ED that she was coming to see me and our ED did not discourage the visit. I do believe that the boyfriend is coming between us and is a big part of why all of this estrangement has happened in the first place. I don't have our ED's address but I will text her again make sure I express our love and concern for her and the baby.
