CHRISTIAN PARENTS of ESTRANGED ADULT CHILDREN Community Group
Estrangement makes it difficult to talk about with family, friends, neighbors and church members. Christians are NOT immune to broken families. Talk about your experiences with those who know how you feel and get positive support through your Christian faith...."In these last days difficult times will come, for men will be lovers of self...disobedient to parents,...
I will be praying.......hugs and blessings.
Please try to give your dear ES and gc into the Lord's hands. He is the only one who can change hearts in His way and in His time. We never give up hope in what the Lord can do and mostly we never stop praying. However, we must with the strength of the Lord press on each day for our well being. Stress is not good for us. Each day is a gift. Praying for you to have peace. We care!
And I understand about your comment regarding grandchildren that "it's not all it's cracked up to be". When I see children of godly parents being baptized, I can't help but nearly cry wondering what kind of hell they may end up putting their parents (and grandparents) through. Now, of course, not all children will be that way, but having been through and seen what I've seen, my thoughts go there. And even if you have just one child that does this, the impact it has on the family ruins the idyllic scenario we had envisioned. Especially if the child becomes an abusive ac.
If I could tell young Christian mothers anything it would be "Do your best to be a loving, diligent, Christian wife and mother, bathe it all in prayer, but know that the results may not turn out to be that for which you longed and worked. The results are with God. Our duty is to be faithful with the charge He has given us." I truly believe if I had KNOWN this from the beginning, I would have been more resilient when it all came crashing down. I know it now and I go to sleep with a clear conscience knowing I gave it my all and bathed it all in prayer. What God does with that is His responsibility.
I would wish for you edr, peace but I don't think we can ever have peace as long as we have ec. i do believe it is possible to be delivered from the mental and spiritual anguish that having ec brings. And so I pray that God will deliver your heart and mind of this torment. xxx
God help us to live each day in the way you call us to live. Each day is a gift of God.
