I came across this in one of my studies (Parents of Prodigals) and it touched me.
Judges 14:4 (Message Bible) "His father and mother didn't realize the LORD was at work in this, creating an opportunity to work against the Philistines, who ruled over Israel at that time."
Thus says the Lord: "Refrain your voice from weeping, And your eyes from tears; For your work shall be rewarded, says the Lord, and they shall come back from the land of the enemy. There is hope in your future, says the Lord, That your children shall come back to their own border."
The writer then goes on to say: After reading this passage I felt The Lord direct me to stop praying for these prodigal children and their families with grief or discouragement, but begin to pray like I was for my coming daughter, with joy, celebration and anticipation!
If you are a parent who has been contending in prayer for a lost son or daughter, I believe this word is for you! It's time to wipe away your tears and begin to worship God with thanksgiving, knowing that He has heard your prayers and is answering them!
We serve a God who loves us and loves to answer our prayers, and He's a God who knows what it means to be a father.
Be encouraged! If you have a prodigal child or know of someone who does, wipe those tears away and praise God because He is up to something GOOD!

I pray thanksgivings for my ED that she will see the light one day. I also pray that I will not be bitter and can have a good life without her in my life if she does not see the light in my lifetime.
