I continue to read everyone's messages and pray for everyone in this group. Sometimes I start to type and feel that I don't really have anything of value to offer. Although my estrangement has ended the situation I am in is far less than perfect.
Today's message from Joel Osteen:
"Nothing can happen without God's permission and God will not allow a difficulty unless He has a divine purpose for it. If you will keep your peace, you'll pass the test, and God will bring you out better than you were before."
For the most part during my estrangement all I prayed for was "God's will." I tried not to think about the estrangement at all as the entire situation was out of my hands. Some days that proved to be more difficult than others. I had basically walked away.
Now that I am in communication with my daughter there are definitely days where I wish I didn't know things. I continue to pray for God's will and I hope that one day it will allow her to return to this state and have a relationship with Him. Until then.....

She left with no notice to be with a man 13 years her senior that lives in Canada. The story is complicated as is her life. She lives in NY near the border and crosses every weekend. When she left she was VERY financially set. Good credit, new car with no payment and over $10k in savings. She now lives in poverty, in debt, bad credit, unemployed and on welfare.
I would gladly give her a free place to live if it were far away from Canada. I have offered it, she knows. The ulterior motive is for money and other gifts. I do not like giving her cash but will buy diapers at walmart and have given her money to fill her tank before doctors appointments.
I helped with her rent once. I don't anymore, rather I have told her she can live in another property I own rent free at anytime.
