My devotional this morning reminded me that this is not a fight of flesh and blood, but oh so much more. It's a spiritual battle. When I find myself getting weary and discouraged, I realize that I'm leaning on my own human strength, and not on the Lord's unfathomable power.

"The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of this world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds." 2 Cor. 10:4

The Holy Spirit revealed the same thing to me yesterday. My EC have caught a spiritual disease...the one mentioned in 2 Tim chapter 3. That revelation reminded me again also, it's a spiritual battle. Then the Holy Spirit asked me if I felt guilty, or like a failure as a parent when my kids got sick when they were growing up under my care and it suddenly was so clear to me that I am not any more responsible for their "spiritual disease" described in 2 Timothy than I was when they got chickenpox as children. And then the Holy Spirit took it one step further pointing out that as adults, they were responsible for their "spiritual inoculation" against the spiritual warfare that has infected them, not me.

I got so much peace yesterday from finally seeing the Estrangement from God's perspective and letting go of my "temperal and human" views of it these past years...Praising and thanking God for this!! And praising and thanking God that it was the verses shared here in this discussion group that God used to show me His truth! So thankful for the caring and sharing that I have found here!! May God bless all of you!!

With so many children rebelling against parents and adult children estranging from families we can realize that it is not us or anything we have caused to happen. It is a free will choice our EC made with a lot of prompting from the enemy. It is so against God and His Word.

Yes it is a direct blow from the enemy. Somewhere our kids dropped their armor and let the creep in.
