ES has called me and said I've got a new phone and you're not getting the number. I said ok, whatever you want. I guess he thought he'd make me cry. Although I did cry later on when no one was around. Not that I tried to call often, maybe once every couple of months and there was no voice mail so I couldn't leave a message anyway. I guess he doesn't want to see my number coming up on his phone.

ssm.....Do you have a regular phone, cell phone or what? If you have a regular phone, you can get caller ID. Then when he call, you will know it is him and then just don't answer it. You can hear his message as it is being recorded if he leaves one. That way if it is an emergency, you can just pick it up anytime. It sure would take the wind out of his sails if he could not hear your voice quiver at his insults.

Guels, it showed up on our phone as unknown. He knows we have caller id so I guess he fixed it to make sure number didn't show up.

Ok, we do too. What we do is not answer ANY unknown numbers. That way they have to either turn off their blocked end or leave a message. We also have registered our number with the "Do Not Call" list. We get very few calls that way. You can also have a message sent to a person who calls and their number is blocked to say..."This number does not accept privacy blocked calls. Please press....(?) to unblock your number and leave a message."

I am so proud of you that you did not give him any reaction to his rudeness about calling. These EC love to play mind games with us, especially gfs or daughters.

When our ES and DIL were planning their wedding and demanding money from us, all the while treating us like crap, we wouldn't give in. They thought that if they beat us down enough, we would give them the money they demanded. They went so far as to not allow any of our relatives and friends to come to the wedding. Unbelievable mind games these young people play, especially when in their 20s.

Sovery, I am so sorry you had to hear these words. No Mother deserves to be disrespected. Please hold your head up high and know that you are a good Mother and this has nothing to do with you and DH. This is about sin and what the enemy is doing. Estrangement is against God's way. Our ED had am agenda to be with a bf when she left 2 years ago. We will pray that these prodigals will have their hearts changed and that the will do what is right in the sight of God and family. God bless you.
