Mine was ok. I got phone calls from 2/4 of my sons. I didn't really expect to hear from ES, but my 2nd oldest, I kind of expected at least a phone call, but received just a non-personal text. The weather here was awful, cold, windy, snowing. My PMR made me miserable. I know it was partially due to stress. I honestly thought my life would be better at 48, not worse. I sure never anticipated all the trouble with my sons. I was watching Dr. Phil this morning & he had parents with troubled teens. A couple of these moms did things to their kids that would make your blood boil.. I thought "I never would have done anything like that, never did, but still don't have quality relationships with my sons" It makes no sense, no rhyme or reason to it. I am trying to remind myself that I DO believe we are in the end of days & this is just the way of it. My dreams the last few nights have been weird & disturbing. I am going to ask my psychiatrist if there is anything I can take to slow the dreams down.

My day was terrible. The flood waters kept getting higher and higher on my patio, and at one point my husband and I were bailing water. Thank the Lord it did not come inside the house, but it got darn close. Then, while we were bailing water, the tornado sirens went off! Sure enough, there was a tornado on the other side of town. I heard from my oldest son, my baby son, and my daughter, but of course nothing from ES. Not that I expected it, and honestly, I was so busy fighting the floods and hunkering from the weather, I didn't think much about him. I think maybe that was God's way of keeping me distracted. I feel exactly like you do, though. I know I was a good mom and I never mistreated my child, but look at how he turned out anyway. I know I have said this before, but I will say it again....I have come to the conclusion that he is mentally ill. He hasn't been DIAGNOSED as such, (DIL has been, but not him) but he would have to have some sort of a screw loose to have even been attracted to someone like her in the first place. He was only 23, she was 32, had been married 3 times, been in and out of jail (as well as mental hospitals) tried to kill herself multiple times....you get the picture. And you think your dreams have been weird. I dreamed I was 9 months pregnant and I was trying to fly home from Ireland and they wouldn't let me so I had to stay!

I was watching other mother's in a restaurant last night with their families. None of the ones I saw with kids (young and adult kids) looked too thrilled. I remember not too long ago when Mother's Day meant I had to think of something to do for everyone that they wouldn't hate too much. Usually the best I could do was pick a restaurant and then everyone did what they wanted the rest of the day.
So, yesterday I felt less stressed and miserable than I have on other Mother's Days with the kids. DH and I went to my favorite coffee shop and then tried an new restaurant that was a wonderful find - we loved it and look forward to going back.
I got a phone call from one ES who I haven't had a conversation with since October. That was nice since he hasn't called on Mother's Day in several years.
ED called too. I spent most of the conversation looking for a paper she asked for. But she was fairly pleasant.
Other ES, I didn't hear from at all. It is what I expected and I am fine with that. That was a first though, he always would send a gift too.
Looking forward to the day they all see their lives and situation more clearly and honestly.

poodlegirl, lol at your dream. Mine don't even make any sense, they're just weird & sometimes they affect me all the next day. I just want to go one night without the dreaming.
