CHRISTIAN PARENTS of ESTRANGED ADULT CHILDREN Community Group
Estrangement makes it difficult to talk about with family, friends, neighbors and church members. Christians are NOT immune to broken families. Talk about your experiences with those who know how you feel and get positive support through your Christian faith...."In these last days difficult times will come, for men will be lovers of self...disobedient to parents,...
I will continue to share how things are going. I agree with lindajoan that we have become sisters, family. I hope to continue to pray for all of us and hope everyone stays and shares their stories, good and bad.
God has blessed us with a wonderful place to share our Christian faith with the ups and downs of living with adult children.
Someone posted this on a widow site and it sort of applies to us here too:
“I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33 (NLT)
Norske, I am so glad to hear that you spent time with your son. Will he come over for the holidays? Please keep us posted. I needed to hear that verse tonight.
We keep each other in our prayers.
I'll let you know if he comes as promised.
"But Moses’ hands grew weary, so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it, while Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side. So his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. Exodus 17:12
I do hope those who leave will stop by every so often with updates and share any praise reports. Praises are so encouraging!
Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Romans 12:15
