So as many of you know, my ES and my daughter in law had their second baby one week ago. My son has not spoken to me once, but he has sent a couple of VERY short messages to my older son and my DH, as well as one picture. I have sent multiple texts to my ES, and he will not respond, not even one word. The strange thing is, as soon as I message my son, within the hour SHE will message me on Facebook, sending me pictures and chatting away as if these last few years and months never happened! She even asked for a picture of my son to compare to the baby, and so I sent it to HIM, not her. When she messages me, or sends me pictures, I am not rude, and I say "thank you", but I keep my conversations to her at a minimum. She has done this sort of thing before and it is her typical behavior, where she "reels" people in, and gets super chatty, only to cut us off when she perceives we've done some wrong to her. She has done this to me personally, and I am very, very wary of her, but like I said, I am not rude nor will I ever be. I am just confused about what to do next. After my son "fake filed" for that divorce a year ago, she told me she could never be friends with me ever again, and only wanted to be cordial for the sake of the baby (now babies). I feel like I am in a re-run of an old movie now. She did this exact thing right before he filed, she got super chatty, would text me umpteen times a day, etc. I know she has severe mental problems, and I am walking on eggshells here. And my son STILL won't speak to me, no matter what I do. My daughter has told me not to even respond to any of her messages, that I will just be hurt again, and I do feel that is true. I do know this is a game, and a trap, but I still feel confused. I wish she would leave me alone and let me talk to my son. Has anyone gone through something like this?
