CHRISTIAN PARENTS of ESTRANGED ADULT CHILDREN Community Group
Estrangement makes it difficult to talk about with family, friends, neighbors and church members. Christians are NOT immune to broken families. Talk about your experiences with those who know how you feel and get positive support through your Christian faith...."In these last days difficult times will come, for men will be lovers of self...disobedient to parents,...
My SIL slipped a phone number to my son once, saying he wanted us to call and reconnect with my ED. I KNEW in my heart it was a lure, and chose not to call the number after much prayer and tears. My ED and SIL have played this type of game before, so I guarded myself this time. My son however, did call, and just as I thought, no one answered. He left a voicemail, and no one ever returned the call. It was meant simply to see who they could hurt. It takes a pretty cold person to treat anyone that way, especially her own brother.
Guard your heart. If your son really wants to connect, he will find a way around his wife. Lift your new grandbaby up to the throne of our merciful Lord, and let God give you His peace that surpasses all understanding.
