Happy Father's Day

It really is an oxymoron to wish my DH a Happy Father's Day as we are estranged from our only child. Our ES will not call today. However I do wish my DH a Happy Father's Day because he was good father and grandfather who is liked by the neighbors and their children. As a couple we have learned that not all relationships last, some die, some divorce and some choose to leave for their own reasons. We have each other and soon we will celebrate our 47th Anniversary. Although I miss and would love to see my ES and GC, there is life after estrangement. It is a new beginning. Blessings to all of you.

Sally, Congratulations on your many years of marriage to your DH.

Our ED will not acknowledge her wonderful father, today, either. It is sad after how much this man did for her. She lost a lot when she left home.

I pray God will speak truth to our EC,today, about their good parents and the bad choices they have made.

Our ES definitely will make no contact what so ever. However, I did give my husband a tiny gift from our cat. I know it sounds silly but it's one way of recognizing him and then I told him what a wonderful Dad he is. It hurts to much to know this is the first special occasion all alone. Sally, well said - no not all relationships last and that was very well said. I just still need to come to acceptance of this one.

Our ES hasn't acknowledged my DH or me on our special day for 7 years now. Bu we are blessed that his older brother loves us and likes to spend time with us. He gave his dad such a great card and gift cert. to a sports store. We are blessed to have him.
