My older son gave me a beautiful ornament for Mother's Day. It was only the second gift he has ever bought me in all these years. I believe he was trying to make things right between us. I will treasure it. My other es never even sent me a text or email yesterday and the last gift I received from him was two years ago. The last thing email he sent me was as long as you are not coming to my wedding alone, I won't be talking to you. And his girlfriend sent me a message saying we've moved the date up because we don't want you to know when it is. It's going to be a hard week because I feel they are probably getting married this weekend and I won't be there to share in it.

I am so sorry for you savery.... hang on to the connection with your older son. My older son came to the hospital yesterday with a card and gift. We had lunch together and he spent a few hours. (My DH is in the hospital so I was here with him).

Thank you sovery.... The ortho surgeon just came in and said his surgery went well and the leg is doing well; now but now we await the pathology results and visit with the onclogist to see what the plan is for the cancer treatment. Keep us in your prayers.

Stargrlskater7 - I might have mis-written. It was my older loving son who came to visit. ES has not made any contact, even though he was told about his dad's situation. Our ES said he knows about his dad and is "processing it".

SoVery, we have to hang on to the good. They're very precious treasures to us now. More so than in the past.

Norske, I don't know what there is to "process", but I'm assuming he needs to figure out how to come "gracefully" to see his dad knowing how he's treated him all these years. I think the biggest battle into these kids coming back is guilt.

feelinghel... I believe you are right on. I am sure my ES is dealing with a lot of guilt in this "process". I have been so busy praying for my DH as we wait to see the oncologist that I need to take a moment to pray for ES also.

Yes, I agree we must be thankful for the blessings.

Our ED has justified on her unhealthy mind ( with the help of bf) that we do not deserve having a relationship with her, I'm sure. Only God can change her rebellious heart.
